(Press Release) - Mar. 8, 2013 - CENTENNIAL, CO, - In an effort to further develop original entertainment properties, Colorado Animation and Visual Effects company, Worker Studio, has partnered with comedic writer, animator and performer, Michael T. Scott, the creator behind Happy Fatties cartoons. Included in the partnership agreement is Scott's existing library of over 80 hilarious animated shorts and original comedy albums. Read on to learn about Worker Studio's Madlib-style Press Release contest.
Currently housed at the Innovation Pavilion, an entrepreneurial hub in Centennial, Colorado, Worker Studio's Founder and Senior Creative Director, Michael "Ffish" Hemschoot met Scott through one of the many engaging meetups occurring there weekly. The group, Creative Connections, meets regularly at Innovation Pavilion, where Scott was drawn to Worker Studio's bullpen working space.
"I asked to take a tour of the Pavilion. The first stop was the Worker Studio space and that was pretty much the end of the tour for me. Instantly, there was a connection with Ffish (Hemschoot). We found commonalities on everything from our influences to our creative processes to our view on the current state of entertainment as a whole. I'd say it was like a pretty good blind date. " said Scott.
The Innovation Pavilion coined these collaborative formations, "Productive Collisions," where creative thinkers, artists, entrepreneurs, business and technology experts are networking daily. Worker Studio relocated to the Innovation Pavilion from their offices in Parker as they expand from just being a client service provider in animation and visual effects to developing and producing original entertainment content.
"Our attraction to Innovation Pavilion was being in an environment full of productive and creative collisions. We found just that when Michael (Scott) slammed into us one day, and hasn't stopped making us laugh since. His passion for animation resonated with us, and we aim to bring his animated shorts to a whole new level, as well as having him on the team to spice-up what's been cooking at Worker Studio," said Hemschoot.
Worker Studio will be repackaging some of Scott's characters, which have been featured on Yahoo! and YouTube, with new designs and animation. As the company expands its team, Worker Studio is able to continue development of projects such as the animated documentary about World War II hero, John Ross: American. Collaborating with Scott, Worker Studio is also developing original properties that will premiere in an innovative App-based distribution model featuring animated cartoons.
To celebrate the partnership, Worker Studio is holding a contest to create your own fake press release using a Madlibs-styled format. See Worker Studio's fake press release on their blog and enter the contest there.
